Our Why

About The Pleiades Sisterhood

Behind many members of our nation’s Special Operations Forces (SOF) stands a spouse navigating challenges few can see—relentless separations, sustained uncertainty, and the emotional toll of service life. These women shoulder extraordinary responsibilities, often managing households, parenting, and personal wellbeing under the strain of secrecy and isolation.

Research highlights the reality: SOF spouses experience higher rates of anxiety, fatigue, and relationship strain than the broader military community. Yet, existing support systems often overlook their unique needs—leaving critical gaps in mentorship, wellness resources, and community connection.

The Pleiades Sisterhood exists to close those gaps. We provide holistic programs that promote mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing while fostering a strong sense of belonging. Through health and wellness initiatives, mentorship networks, and peer-to-peer support, we empower SOF spouses to move beyond endurance toward lasting resilience and fulfillment.

By investing in the wellbeing of SOF spouses, we strengthen the foundation of our nation’s most elite forces—ensuring those who serve behind the scenes are seen, supported, and equipped to thrive

Founding Sisters

Staci Roberts, Founder

Staci is the proud mother of two incredible young men and a Green Beret spouse of 20 years. With degrees in Psychology and International Relations and a career spanning global strategic advising and entrepreneurship, her path has been anything but linear.

Throughout her husband’s years of service, Staci experienced nearly every challenge that comes with Special Operations life — the relentless operational tempo, multiple combat deployments, “single” parenting, the loss of identity and career opportunities, the search for renewed purpose, health struggles, and the quiet loneliness that lingers when the mission never truly ends.

Her own journey toward healing and balance led Staci to immerse herself in modern research on health, wellness, and longevity. She is passionate about staying on the cutting edge of scientific discovery and integrating evidence-based healthcare advancements with grounded, holistic practices that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. This fusion of modern science and timeless wisdom informs every aspect of her work with The Pleiades Sisterhood.

Recognizing that so many other SOF spouses were living under the same unrelenting stressors, Staci founded The Pleiades Sisterhood — a community built to uplift and empower through authentic connection, mentorship, and access to restorative wellness resources.

Staci deeply believes that SOF spouses have served their country, their soldiers, and their families with extraordinary devotion. She established this program to return that same compassion and commitment — ensuring every spouse has the support, science, and sisterhood needed to truly thrive.

Amelia Glenn

For 20 years, I’ve lived the life of a Special Operations Forces spouse. Supported 11 deployments, moving constantly, while still managing a career and raising our kids.

We have 2 incredible children, now 19 and 12, often balancing the demands of parenting, work, and the unknowns that come with this lifestyle. For 14 years, I’ve worked in the dental field, finding purpose in helping others, and I now proudly support the United States Space Force, continuing my personal mission of service and resilience.

Living the military life isn’t easy. It takes courage to keep showing up when you’re holding the household together, missing your partner, and doing your best to stay grounded. But what has carried me through is the sisterhood of other SOF spouses, women who understand the silence, the strength, and the unspoken bond we share. We’ve lifted each other through the hardest seasons and celebrated the smallest victories together.

This journey has shaped me into who I am today, independent, grounded, and proud of the resilience I’ve built through both solitude and sisterhood.
